Tip Toe thru the Tulips

The weekend of my birthday and it’s Tulip Time in Pella, IA. An uber-dutch flower festival celebrating the town’s dutch heritage and marking the beginning of spring — all in a quaint town in Eastern Iowa. Isn’t that Vvvveird! And of course a road trip across the state wouldn’t be complete without Geocaching! We loaded up the car and put fresh batteries in the GPS and off we went.

What a great time – we found 4 caches for the day – even with all the muggle activity. We also sipped wine, ate chocolate, smelled the flowers, played catch in the park, and finished off the night watching the Parade.

Here’s some pics from the Festival, click to see a larger version.
